Success Stories
Olivia Ramos
Head Stage Manager, Charlotte Ballet
My readiness for college is something I have QG to thank for. In my home, college was always talked about, but never forced or pressured. I had the support of my parents, but no real help knowing how to take my first steps in the application process. The administrative team and teachers of QG were able to help me build up my academic skills, guide me on how to apply for college, assist with ACT/SAT prep, and show me what colleges were looking for in a prospective student. After graduating from QG, I earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a Minor in Business Management. I am currently the Head Stage Manager of Charlotte Ballet, and I am loving every minute! Thank you to QG for leading me to this wonderful career.
Zina Abualeinan
Special Education Teacher
I graduated from Queens Grant High School in 2016 which led me to where I am today. I then went to University of North Carolina at Charlotte for undergraduate degree in Special education and went back after a year for my master’s in applied Behavior Analysis. During my last year at Queens Grant I was allowed and encouraged the opportunity to take CPCC classes while I was finishing my high school classes to graduate, this big opportunity allowed me to get ahead in college where I was able to add a minor and prerequisite for the pre- Occupational Therapy track and still graduate in four years. I am now a special education teacher at a middle school and have been really enjoying this field for the past four years. When I was in high school my teachers worked hard to form relationships with us and encourage us to strive for success. To this day I still love visiting campus and my high school teachers and hearing about all the new updates and growth at Queens Grant.
