Application Process
For the application process, please ensure that the initial application is fully filled out and accompanied by proof of residency. Your student’s application will only be considered complete upon receipt of both these components. Please note that incomplete applications will be put on hold until proof of residency is received.
We highly recommend utilizing our convenient online application platform. However, if this option is not feasible, you are welcome to collect a paper copy of the application from the school office.
Proof of Residency
The NC Department of Charter Schools requires that you provide proof of NC residency at time of application. Proof of residency must be attached to all applications (paper and online).
You must attach one (1) of the acceptable forms of Proof of Residency with your application:
- Copy of deed or record of most recent mortgage payment
- Copy of lease agreement
- Utility bill (gas, water, electric, landline phone, cable, or satellite) dated within the past 30 days.
- Valid NC driver’s license or NC photo identification card
- Vehicle or property tax bill (dated within the past year)
- Bank or credit card statement with a NC address (dated with the past 60 days)
Sibling Preference
At Queen’s Grant High School, we prioritize keeping families together through a sibling preference policy. This policy grants enrollment preference to siblings of students already enrolled in the school, ensuring they have the first available seats or priority on the waiting list over other applicants. We also extend this preference to children whose siblings have already been accepted.
To qualify, children must share at least one parent or legal guardian and reside in the same household for at least 50% of the time, fostering a sense of unity within our school community.
